CRUNCH (“the app”) is a single-player game. Your privacy is simple because the app is simple.
Nothing on our servers — we don't operate any. CRUNCH does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your data to any servers we control. There is no analytics or advertising, no third-party SDK collects your data, and no tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
You can sign in with Apple to sync your progress, or play as a guest. If you sign in, Apple gives the app an anonymous user identifier (and, once, your name for a greeting). This is stored only on your device and is used solely to associate your save with your account. We never receive your email, and Apple's Hide My Email keeps it private if you choose to share one. You can sign out at any time.
If you're signed in and iCloud is available, your save is synced through CloudKit's private database — that is, your own iCloud account. We cannot see or access it; it lives in your iCloud, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Guests' saves stay on the device only.
Your game progress is stored locally on your device (and, if signed in, mirrored to your private iCloud). You can delete everything from inside the app via gear → Account & Data → Delete Account & Data. Deleting the app also removes the local copy, and you can remove the iCloud copy in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud.
The app is safe for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
